HOUSTON — For almost 25 years, we’ve made a commitment to making Christmas brighter for tens of thousands of families through our KHOU 11 Secret Santa Toy Drive.
The Secret Santa Toy Drive benefits the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program, which provides holiday assistance to disadvantaged children. Due to the high costs of goods and services, many families are struggling to make ends meet, making it difficult for them to provide gifts for their children this holiday season.
Last year, your generosity helped us raise more than $90,000 in cash and toy donations for thousands of struggling families.
How You Can Donate
Now through December 8, you can be a Secret Santa to a child in need by donating new, unwrapped toys at participating sponsor locations found on the map below.
If you can’t make it to a drop-off location, toys and monetary donations can be purchased online.
Donation Event
On Friday, December 1 from 4 to 7 p.m., you can make a difference by joining KHOU 11 at the Academy Sports + Outdoors on 2404 Southwest Fwy and donate a new, unwrapped gift for a child.
At this event, we will have a visit from Santa and from Houston Texans mascot Toro! We will also have a special gift available to those who donate.
Virtual Telethon
On Thursday, December 7 from 4 to 7 p.m., KHOU 11 will host a Secret Santa Toy Drive Virtual Telethon as we make a final push to reach our donation goal! During the hours of the telethon, you can call in and speak with one of our phone bank operators to make your monetary gift to our drive.
Let’s make sure that no child wakes up Christmas morning without a toy under the tree.
