GALVESTON, Texas — Hey, foodies! You may want to find some time to head over to Galveston this month because the island has found a way to celebrate some of the best cuisine in town.
Galveston Restaurant Week kicked off Monday, Jan. 8, and is expected to last through Jan. 28. More than 30 restaurants are slated to participate, including Blake’s Bistro, Landry’s Prime Seafood & Steaks and Little Daddy’s Gumbo Bar. See the full list of participating restaurants here.
Dinners will be priced between $20 to $60, lunches will range between $10 to $30 and breakfast and brunches will be between $10 and $40.
“This year marks the 12th annual Galveston Restaurant Week,” Galveston Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association, President James Clark said. “The event is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to get out and try new spots to add to their list of favorite restaurants while giving back to the local community.”
Participating restaurants will donate anywhere from $1 to $5 from each menu item to local non-profits that focus on feeding, supporting, and providing health care to children and families in Galveston. Some of those non-profits include United Way of Galveston, Galveston’s Own Farmers Market and Family Service Center of Galveston.
