HOUSTON — A lucky winner for a jackpot prize is somewhere in Houston. Texas Lottery says the ticket is now worth more than $20 million.
It was sold on Saturday, October 2, at the BFM Food Mart on Renwick Drive and Bellaire Blvd.
The winning numbers for the ticket are 1, 9, 14, 23, 29 and 41.
The prize started at $5 million on June 9. It’s now the game’s largest win in over a year. The last big win was worth $47 million for a Seguin resident.
The jackpot winner has to claim their cash in the next 180 days. Their ticket will not be validated until they redeem it for payment.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot for Oct. 4 is now sitting at $685 million since no one won it Saturday night. It started as $20 million on June 9, but after 40 draws, there's no winner yet. This is now the 6th largest prize in the game's history and the 8th largest in the history of U.S. jackpots.
The official drawings for both games will be announced on October 4 at 10:12 p.m.
