Blue Bell announced Monday that Homemade Vanilla would be first flavor to return to store freezers.
The ice cream already shipped from the Alabama facility to Houston-area distribution centers.
Blue Bell ice cream goes back on sale Aug. 31 with Houston among the first areas that will receive new product.
The company shut down production earlier this year after a listeria outbreak killed three people.
In a KHOU.com survey, 31 percent of voters said they'd be looking for vanilla when Blue Bell returns while 13 percent said Buttered Pecan. 11 percent are looking for Dutch Chocolate while only 5 percent are looking for Strawberries & Vanilla. 40 percent of voters said they'd be looking for another flavor altogether.
