GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Black and Decker is recalling 560,000 leaf blowers due to a possible laceration hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the fan cover on the leaf blower can unlatch unexpectedly posing a safety risk to users.
The CPSC has received four reports of users being cut due to exposed fans. The recall involves the Black and Decker 3-in-1 electric blower/vacuum/mulchers with model numbers BV5600, BV6000 AND BV6600. The leaf blower is orange and black. It also has a fan cover and a two-speed switch. The leaf blowers were sold at Lowes and other stores nationwide and also online at Amazon.com
