HOUSTON — Houston Cougars football fans will now have a new place to eat when cheering on the team at TDECU Stadium this season.
Trill Burgers and Trill Tenders are opening a co-branded concession stand at Section 138, near the student entrance at ICON Gate 2. This will mark Bun B and partners' first-ever location of Trill Trenders.
Fans will be able to purchase an OG Burger Combo, which includes the Trill OG Burger and french fries, or Trill Tenders Combo, which includes three Trill Tenders with Soy OG and Pink OG dipping sauces and Cajun cut crinkle fries.
Each combo will be served in a scarlet red, University of Houston-branded Trill Burgers and Trill Tenders packaging.
“We’ve been looking for the perfect spot to open the first location of Trill Tenders, and when the opportunity at TDECU Stadium presented itself, we jumped at the chance,” Bun B said. “My wife Queenie is from Third Ward, and we’re thrilled to bring Trill Tenders and Trill Burgers to Cougar fans as they embark on a new era under coach Willie Fritz. Go Coogs."
Trill Tenders was created after Bun B and his team were invited to compete in Los Angeles’ Tenderfest, where they won top honors, last year.
Trill Tenders made its Houston debut at the Houston Texans’ Taste of the Texans charity event in November. They also hosted a pop-up at NRG Stadium in December.
This is Trill Burgers’ third stadium location. Other locations include inside NRG Stadium and a booth at Shell Energy Stadium.
The UH Football season kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. against UNLV.
