HOUSTON — Popular Chicago-based restaurant Portillo's is coming to the Houston area.
On Thursday, the restaurant announced it's sixth and seventh Texas locations will be the Richmond and Willowbrook areas.
"We're bun-believably excited to announce plans for one of Portillo's first restaurant of the future builds," Portillo's said.
The Willowbrook location will be at the Willowbrook Mall and will seat about 140 people inside with room for around 40 more on its patio. The restaurant said the 6,000-square-foot building will have a "rustic Southwest garage theme."
"Once we open, we hope you'll cake shake in to enjoy our signature menu of Chicago-style hot dogs, famous Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, Portillo's Famous Chocolate Cake and more," the restaurant said.
In Richmond, the new location will open at The Grand at Aliana. This location will be 7,700 square feet and will seat around 170 people inside and around 50 people on the patio. It will have the same theme as the Willowbrook location.
Portillo's has not yet announced exactly when the restaurants are set to open. The Houston-area restaurants will be the companys' sixth and seventh locations in Texas.
