Houston Zoo hosts free entry days

The zoo warned that since demand is so high, it's not guaranteed that you'll get tickets.

HOUSTON — The Houston Zoo and ExxonMobil are partnering up to give Houstonians free tickets to the zoo one day each month.

The "Free Zoo Days" will take place on the first Tuesday of every month, all you have to do is reserve tickets online. September's free entry day was pushed back a week due to Labor Day. Free tickets will not be available at the gate.

The zoo warned that since demand is so high, it's not guaranteed that you'll get tickets. If you aren't able to get tickets in your preferred time slot this month, reservations are already open for October's free entry day.

The zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last entry at 4 p.m. and free tickets are available from open to close - while supply lasts.
