FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — Fort Bend County Animal Services is asking for the public's help in fostering animals this weekend as a hard freeze moves into the Houston area.
The cold weather is expected in southeast Texas Saturday afternoon and through Sunday. Temperatures are expected to drop to the 30s with some areas below freezing.
The Fort Bend animal shelter says they do not want to leave any pets in their outside kennels.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office posted to Facebook on Thursday asking for the public's help in fostering pets in need and getting them out of the cold.
Anyone who would like to help should call the sheriff's office at 281-342-1512 or reach out them on Facebook on the Fort Bend Animal Services page.
