7 dogs and 3 cats were rescued from "deplorable conditions" inside a Baytown hoarder's home.

BAYTOWN, Texas — Several dogs and cats were rescued from "deplorable conditions" inside a Baytown home on Friday.

The seven dogs and three cats were rescued by the Houston SPCA Animal Cruelty Investigators and Harris County Constable Precinct One deputies.

The Houston SPCA said the animals were found inside a hoarder's home on Breda Drive in Meadowlake Village. They said the home was packed with debris and full of feces and urine in every room.

Some of the dogs were kept inside filthy wire kennels with little or no food and water.

The animals are being treated for emaciation, heavy flea infestation, open wounds and dental disease by the Houston SPCA veterinary and animal care staff.

A hearing will be held next week to determine legal custody.
