DALLAS -- Wearing matching silver sandals, Lauren Roach and Landry Nelon stood inside the Dallas Police Association building Monday.

They were there presenting a check following Thursday's tragedy in downtown Dallas. It's money the 11 year olds earned selling lemonade over the weekend.

"20 gallons," Landry said. "We went through a lot of lemonade."

A dollar here and there turned into hundreds, and by the end of the weekend, the girls raised thousands of dollars.

Lauren Roach and Landry Nelon raised thousands with their lemonade stand.

They presented a check for $10,000, after their church matched part of the earnings.

There was never any question about how they'd spend it: All of the money will go to the families of the Dallas shooting victims.

"It's feels good to know we are making a difference in people's lives," said Lauren. "That makes us feel great inside."

Their customers told them the lemonade was good, but for the girls, the feeling of handing over the check was even sweeter.
