GALVESTON, Texas — The popular Polar Express Train Ride in Galveston returns for the holidays and they've added something new this year: a trip for adults only.
The special ride for passengers 21 years and older is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17, at 8:30 p.m.
They'll enjoy the same live entertainment, hot chocolate and cookies as the kids during the one-hour trip to the "North Pole" to meet Santa. No booze is allowed on board but adult beverages will be sold at the depot food court before and after the ride.
If you want to dress the theme, PJs are encouraged.
Reservations are required and tickets for the adults-only ride are $70.
The whole family can ride the other Polar Express trips every weekend from Nov. 10 through Dec. 23 at the Galveston Railroad Museum. Along with a gift from Santa, all passengers will receive a keepsake sleigh bell and souvenir golden ticket.
Ticket prices vary and are on sale now online. Parking is $20-$25.
