Kids learn basketball skills during Matt Musil's Hoops for Kids camp

Kids are in for a fun 3-day camp to learn the fundamentals of basketball, leadership, teamwork and more.

HOUSTON — Dozens of Houston-area children are learning basketball skills -- and life skills -- at a summer camp hosted by KHOU 11 Sports anchor Matt Musil.

This fun-filled basketball camp for young boys and girls is underway this week in downtown Houston.

Hoops for Kids focuses on teaching kids how to dribble, pass, shoot, rebound and play defense. This 3-day camp is designed for kids in 4th through 9th.

Kids can learn more about nutrition, social skills, leadership and teamwork, in addition to the fundamentals of basketball. Guest speakers from professional and college ranks will make appearances to share their stories with the kids.
