The good news is we can expect an awesome break-up song from Taylor Swift. The bad news is that it's because she and Calvin Harris have gone their separate ways.
Wait, we actually find that pretty upsetting. And when we tell our friends about this celebrity split, they, too, react with sincere grief.
So why are we so bummed that a beautiful pop-star and her cute DJ boyfriend have ended their 15-month relationship? Maybe it's because the public part of their coupledom was so darn adorable. Here are 5 times the duo made us believe in their love:
5. She hugged him at the iHeartRadio Awards.
In early April of this year, Harris won the iHeartRadio Award for dance artist of the year. Upon hearing the news, Swift hugged him, thereby creating an instant meme. Another photo that was tweeted from the show? Swift gazing lovingly at her man. By the way, Swift also won top iHeartRadio honors, and thanked her "boyfriend Adam" (his birth name is Adam Wiles) from the podium.
4. Their one-year anniversary celebrations were so cute.
The couple celebrated 365 days of being together on March 6. On Instagram and snapchat, the then-lovebirds showed that they exchanged gifts of an engraved locket with the date they started dating and "1 year" cake.
3. His kissed her all over at the Billboard Music Awards.
Back in May 2015, Swift basically swept the BBMAs. Before accepting every award she got a passionate hug, or a kiss on her neck or cheek from Harris. It marked the first big PDA from the couple.
2. They had supportive tweets for each other.
One of the most aww-inspiring tweets from the lovers was the one Harris wrote after Swift wrote a letter to Apple, asking the tech giant to reverse its streaming music service rules. He wrote, "I just played a gig inside a giant owl and my girl just changed the entire music industry what a day".
1. They went on the most romantic vacation.
We only saw (via Instagram) the love notes on the sand, sensuous kiss, pair of jet skis and ocean trampoline that Harris and Swift enjoyed on their getaway this March. We can only imagine how perfect the rest of the trip was.
