Noir-film tropes meet a wee bit of Fatal Attraction in the thriller Manhattan Night, in theaters and on video-on-demand platforms May 20. The film stars Adrien Brody as newspaper columnist Porter Wren, a guy who nabbed some infamy for finding a missing little girl but whose work is usually of the more sordid, tabloid-y variety. Yvonne Strahovski (of Chuck and Dexter fame) plays a femme fatale of sorts who wants Porter to investigate the mysterious death of her filmmaker husband (Campbell Scott) — apparently he had a building fall on him — and Jennifer Beals (of being drenched with water in Flashdance fame) is Porter's wife and a lady who gets mixed up in the case.
In this exclusive clip from Manhattan Night, Strahovski's Caroline turns the flirtation up to 11 to get Porter to find what happened to her hubby, but by the way she says, "Unless of course there was another reason why you came by," she's not thinking that much of her fatally crushed spouse. "Till death do us part" and all, we guess.
