Train, REO Speedwagon concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion canceled, venue announces

The venue made the announcement around 11 p.m. Saturday, the night before the concert was set to take place.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Bad news for folks who bought tickets to see Train and REO Speedwagon play at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion -- the show's been canceled.

The venue made the announcement around 11 p.m. Saturday, the night before the concert was set to take place. The pavilion cited voice concerns for one of the band members.

"We were really looking forward to playing for you and nothing feels worse than canceling a show, but we'll make it up to you soon," Train said on social media.

Tickets that were purchased through Ticketmaster or directly from the venue will be automatically refunded, according to Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. If you bought tickets from a secondary market, the venue said you should request a refund at the point of purchase.

"Due to the large volume of refunds, it could take up to 30 days for all refunds to process," the venue said in a Facebook post.

Commenters on the post were disappointed but wished the band member a speedy recovery.

"Totally sucks but hope he gets to feeling better soon!" one commenter wrote.
