AUSTIN -- In true Willie fashion, the Red Headed Stranger is helping another Austin music television series get on its feet.

Willie Nelson was the first performer on Austin City Limits 40 years ago, and the show is now the longest-running music series in American television history.

Now, Austin recording studio Arlyn Studios has announced a new television series featuring the music icon himself as host.

Little information has been released about the series, which will be titled "Inside Arlyn Studios," but the studio did say on its Facebook page Wednesday that musical guests on the show will include Merle Haggard and Gary Clark Jr. for "intimate studio performances."

The studio said pilot episodes will be filmed "in the very near future," but did not provide an exact date.

Nelson's nephew, Freddy Fletcher, is a co-owner of the studio, which opened last year on South Congress Avenue.

Music lovers can register online to get show updates and the chance to win tickets to the performances.
