The Houston branch of the NAACP celebrates 100 years

The NAACP is throwing the Centennial Freedom Fund Awards Dinner to celebrate their 100 years!

HOUSTON - On Tuesday, October 16th, Deborah Duncan sat down with Yolanda Smith, Executive Director of the NAACP Houston Branch, and Roger Harris, the co chair of the Freedom Fund Awards Dinner. Founded in 1918, the NAACP Houston Branch improves the political, educational, social and economic status of minority groups. The Houston branch will celebrate 100 years of "Relevancy, Freedom, and Rights" at their Centennial Freedom Fund Awards Dinner on Friday October 26. To purchase tickets for the dinner, click here.
