Rockin’ Country Soul from singer / songwriter Sheila Marshall

Sheila Marshall interviews and performs before her concert this weekend at Redneck Country Club.

Texas native Sheila Marshall has loved music all her life, from the gospel that filled her soul growing up in the church, or the weekends she spent with her mother listening to Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Loretta Lynn. Though those genres made an imprint on her, she had rock n roll deep in her bones. After studying music at Stephen F. Austin University, she dropped out to move to Houston and pursue her passion full time. It wasn’t long before that move paid off. Performing overseas for the troops, as well as all over the United States, and recording a number of albums, Sheila also competed on 2004’s “Nashville Star.” A Top-10 Finalist, she got to sing original songs on air to millions of viewers, and perform live with Willie Nelson and Rodney Crowell. She’s also toured with Matchbox 20 and Counting Crowes, playing live in front of tens of thousands of people. Now she’s released a new, more personal album, “Good To Be Me,” produced by the legendary Ray Wylie Hubbard. For more information, click here.
