HOUSTON — Ryan Middleton with the Katy Prairie Conservancy and Adrian Berg with The Texas Venom Experience share some fascinating facts about snakes native to Texas. There are approximately 76 species and the majority are harmless, plus they play an important role in our environment, but unfortunately, most are killed out of fear.
While there are certainly a few snakes to avoid, the free event "Unplugged Adventure: Native Snakes" will help shed light on our reptile friends and why we should respect them. It takes place Saturday, March 16 at 10 am at Indiangrass Preserve in Waller, TX (just West of Houston).
