Most of the stars in Richard Linklater's '80s comedy Everybody Wants Some!! are unknowns. But if you're a Gleek, you may already be familiar with star Blake Jenner (no relation to Caitlyn) who earned a role on the show Glee after winning Oxygen's competition The Glee Project in 2012.
Jenner is certainly not the first aspiring actor to get his start on a talent competition. Here are a few other movie, stage and TV stars who broke out after a reality series:
The American Idols: Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert
Clarkson and Underwood were the only two to actually win the competition, but everyone in this group has been up for at least one Grammy — and Hudson also won an Oscar.
Miranda Lambert
Before winning CMAs and Grammys, Lambert came in third on the 2003 season of USA Network's Nashville Star.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Before joining Fox News, Hasselbeck was cast in the 2001 Survivor. The pigtail-wearing "shoe designer" placed third.
Emma Stone
Stone competed on the VH1 series In Search of the Partridge Family in 2004 before she starred in movies. She actually won the competition ... but the New Partridge Family show never got picked up.
Laura Osnes
Osnes won the NBC show Grease: You're the One That I Want!, despite being a brunette. Her prize: the role of Sandy in 2007's Grease on Broadway. Since then, Osnes has been nominated for Tony Awards.
Lucy Hale
The singer and Pretty Little Liar stars competed on American Juniors in 2003. Love the braces!
