Creed frontman Scott Stapp's situation seems to get murkier by the day.

What IS clear: His family is worried:

Son Jagger Stapp, 16, says he "chose drugs over his family," according to his private tweet, reported byUltimateClassicRock.com on Monday.

"My dad is too busy posting songs on his FB hiding out for attention rather then getting his act together #dadstop … To all tho confused, my father once again chose drugs over his family. He needs help, but refuses to get it. He's been on a 9 week binge."

Last week Scott Stapp posted a rambling video on Facebook (now disappeared) saying he was broke, homeless and living in a Holiday Inn, but denying he had been using drugs.

Rolling Stone and TMZ reported his soon-to-be ex-wife, Jaclyn Stapp, has gone to court seeking to place a 60-day psychiatric hold on him. TMZ said divorce papers asserted Stapp is "irrational, incoherent, delusional, psychotic, dangerous and needs to be involuntarily committed to a mental facility again."

The papers also revealed that his wife believes he has been using drugs, including amphetamines, crystal meth and steroids, that he's paranoid and a potential threat to himself and his family, and that he been placed on a 72-hour psych hold last month but had been released.

Meanwhile, Spin says he's trying to crowdsource nearly $500,000 to pay for a new album and book (but only $500 has been raised so far).

Two days after his first Facebook post on Nov. 26, Stapp posted again on Facebook, seeming to regret the original video and declaring, "I'm going to step back and let God control everything from here on."A day later, Creed bassist Brian Marshall posted on his Facebook page that he reached out to Stapp and "he's OK."
