Netflix announces new date for Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight

"While we have a new date, the result will be the same... Jake Paul is getting knocked out," said Mike Tyson.

DALLAS — The highly anticipated fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has a new date.

The organizer, MVP, and Netflix had to postpone the event after 57-year-old Tyson had a medical emergency mid-flight. The organizers rescheduled the fight to Friday, November 15, 2024 at AT&T Stadium.

A former heavyweight champion, Tyson has recovered.

“I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flare-up, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover,” Tyson told Netflix. “My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon."

Despite his recovery, Tyson remains confident.

"While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out," Mike Tyson said in a press release.

Jake Paul shared the same sentiment via X, formerly Twitter.

In a release, organizers said tickets purchased for the original July 20, 2024 date will be honored for the new date. For those unable to attend the new date, refunds can be requested by emailing SeatGeek at dallascowboys@seatgeek.com. Refunds must be requested by July 8.

At the press conference in Arlington, officials said the fight had broken the all-time record in the state of Texas for sales in a combat sporting event.

Official tickets are still available via SeatGeek with the cheapest seats selling for $94 and the most expensive ringside seats going for $52,785.
