My Music Life
1. What was your first concert? Garth Brooks or Britney Spears in elementary school. I can't remember before then except maybe a church concert.
2. What is the best concert you've ever been to? Dang that is tough. I really enjoy all LIVE music... I can't pick a favorite.
3. What is your favorite live music venue in Houston? Of course I like Toyota because you get that big arena feel but the Bayou Music Center is great! It is smaller but you can really rock out!
4. Have you ever been backstage at a concert? Which one(s)? I was backstage for SNOOP at The House of Blues and for DRAKE at Warehouse Live. Both really fun concerts!
5. Do you play a musical instrument, or did you play one while growing up? I played the piano and flute. I can still play the piano... but can't remember one thing about the flute... sorry mom and dad.
6. What is the first album you owned? Garth Brooks, George Strait, or maybe Ace of Base... I can't remember. I know my brother had Biggies tape... but first CD... country for sure!
7. What format is the majority of your music collection (vinyl, CD, cassette, digital downloads)? CD's.
8. What is your favorite song to rock out to on your way to work? Anything with a beat.... at 3am I have to wake my booty up!
9. What do you consider to be the biggest music-related news story of the last 50 years? Wow. There are so many from deaths, to chart topping albums and band break-ups but I think the marriage and collaboration of Beyoncé and Jay Z usually takes the cake.
10. Who is your favorite 2016 GRAMMY-nominated artist? Kendrick Lamar
