HOUSTON — There’s big news for fans of live music. After 17 years, Warehouse Live is shutting down its location east of downtown Houston.
It’s not closing down for good, though. It’s just moving to Midtown.
According to a post on social media from Warehouse Live, Rise Rooftop in Midtown will close after its final performance on December 17, and after some renovations, will reopen as Warehouse Live Midtown on Dec. 29 with a performance by Sullivan King.
"We are truly excited about the opportunity to carry on the rich tradition established by the original Warehouse Live," Warehouse Live Midtown director of entertainment Rich Pangilinan said. "Our commitment is to provide a dynamic platform for established talents, nurture emerging artists, and champion the incredible diversity of local talent that Houston has to offer."
The official grand opening of Warehouse Live Midtown will be on New Year’s Eve as Cash Cash takes the stage.
