WEBSTER, Texas — Those interested in visiting the new Great Wolf Lodge in Webster will not have to wait as long after a new opening date was announced recently.
The resort is now set to open on Oct. 18 later this year. This will be the second location opening in Texas and the 22nd overall for the Great Wolf Lodge.
In addition to moving up the date of the opening, the company has released new renderings of the 92,000-square-foot indoor water park.
The Great Wolf Lodge will not only feature the usual water park favorites that visitors love, but also an all-new design thematic, filled with immersive and interactive storytelling elements to enhance the overall water park experience.
Builders said the water park’s centerpiece attraction is Otter Cave Waterworks, a multi-level, interactive water play structure with intertwined “leaking” water pipes, spray jets, four twisting body slides and Great Wolf Lodge’s signature, 1,000-gallon tipping bucket.
In total, the water park will feature 13 slides, three pools, and two interactive water play zones.
The Webster location will also have the Texas Twirler, a family raft adventure that can accommodate up to five riders.
Additional highlights include the High Paw Holler slide, Alberta Falls tube ride, Forest Flume slide, Rapid Racer tube ride, River Canyon Run raft ride, Slap Tail Pond wave pool, Crooked Creek lazy river and Otter Springs play pool.
Great Wolf Lodge is located on a 27-acre site on Great Wolf Way just east of the Gulf Freeway.
