Big names in Houston food scene get together for two new Rodeo treats

Bun B's Trill Burgers and Ronnie Killen of Killen's BBQ are teaming up at this year's Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

HOUSTON — What do you get when you cross Bun B’s Trill Burgers with one of the top names in BBQ? You can find out at RodeoHouston this year.

Trill Burgers is teaming up with Ronnie Killen of Killen’s BBQ for two new items at this year’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

One is a Trillen’s Burger, which is two all-beef smash burger patties, American cheese, bacon and beer-battered onion rings. It’s topped with Killen’s Sweet Barbecue Sauce. If you want more, you can top it with an extra portion of Killen’s BBQ brisket.

There’s also the Trillen’s Brisket Fries. Those are Trill Burgers fries with Killen’s BBQ brisket, Killen’s Sweet Barbecue Sauce, white queso, chipotle aioli, pickled onions, pickles, and jalapenos.

Those two items are available at the Trill Burgers booth in Rodeo Plaza just outside NRG Center from the start of the Rodeo through March 17. You can also pick up the OG burger and Vegan OG burger there.

There are four Trill Burgers locations inside NRG Stadium, where they are serving beef OG Burger combos only.

Bun B is also performing at the Rodeo. His "All-American Takeover" is on March 12 with special guests Rick Ross, E-40, Too Short and That Mexican OT.
