Float catches fire during Orpheus parade

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

NEW ORLEANS — The Leviathan float caught fire during the Orpheus parade Monday night on St. Charles Avenue.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. Several people have posted videos online showing smoke coming from the float. The parade was briefly delayed.

NOPD officers and firefighters are on the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
