SPRING, Texas — Barbecue lovers in the Houston area do not have to go far to try some of the best in the country, according to a list of Yelp’s top 100 barbecue spots.
Head over to Spring and check out CorkScrew BBQ to try some of the “best brisket in Texas,” according to one reviewer.
According to Yelp, the Spring joint came in at No. 2 on their list with almost 1,000 five-star reviews. They were second only to Wright’s Barbecue in Johnson, Ark.
Owners of CorkScrew, Nichole and Will Buckman, source all their meat from small family farms, some of which are exclusive to them, according the report.
According to their website, they only purchase the highest quality meats, farm-raised and high-grade prime.
The review listed CorkScrew’s pulled pork; pork or beef ribs; brisket (lean or fatty); turkey breast; and The Bowl (any two sides topped with a choice of smoked meat, green onions, and cheese) as the most popular dishes.
Typically, those interested in trying CorkScrew will likely find a line or some items popular menu items selling out - which is normal. Being featured on this list is likely not going to help that.
However, barbecue lovers can place an order online 24 hours in advance (a week during the holidays).
CorkScrew BBQ is located at 26608 Keith Street in Spring. They are open Wednesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until they sell out. They are closed on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.
