Ever wonder why Chelsea Handler walked away from her successful show Chelsea Lately?

So did Jimmy Fallon, and when he had her in his Tonight Show hot seat on Tuesday night, he wanted answers.

"I want to know two things, one is you have this show on E! You're the biggest name on E!..." the late night host started out before his guest interjected. "Was I the biggest name on E!?"

"That wasn't a Kardashian? Yeah, I think so," Fallon said.

"I didn't have a big enough (expletive) to stay on that network," the Uganda Be Kidding Me author said. With the curvy Kardashians, who start their 12th season of Keeping Up on Sunday, also on E! it's obvious what famous family inspired her joke.

In all honestly, Handler said she left the network because she simply wanted to be happy at her job.

"I don't want to take anything for granted, and I want to be in a good mood when I get to work every day," she began. "I was like this place is so stupid. I wanted to not be annoyed, you know what I mean? I wanted to be grateful that I had this life, that I get to do what I get to do... I'm like I don't want to be an (expletive)."

She also said that making her new Netflix series, Chelsea, makes her a good nervous.

"I'm basically treating it as a college education that I forgot to get that Netflix is funding," she said.

"It's like what you would want college to be once you turn 40 and realize what you're actually interested in, what you think you know that you don't know, getting answers to questions but also keeping my sense of humor about everything so that you can get information in a fun, cool way. Like, imagine if 60 Minutes were funny."

We're picturing it. Lesley Stahl just said the funniest thing, and we're dying.

Be sure to save the date. Chelsea premieres May 11 on Netflix.
