Beyoncé's Texans halftime show announcement sparked hotel demand surge, data shows

Hotels in downtown and near NRG stadium are the most in-demand locations.

HOUSTON — In just a week, Beyoncé will take over NRG Stadium for a "Cowboy Carter Christmas" halftime performance at the Texans game.

The Texans are hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.

When the announcement was made last month, Hotels.com reported that demand for hotels in Houston surged 110%.

Despite the heightened demand, travelers can still find affordable stays. Hotels.com data shows average nightly rates holding steady at $150 compared to last year. Overall, there's a 210% increase in hotel demand for Christmas Day.

Hotels in downtown and near NRG stadium are the most in-demand locations.

You can watch the game and catch the H-Town native's performance live on KHOU 11 and streaming on Netflix. Her performance will be nine minutes long.
