Jeremy Rogalski is an investigative reporter at KHOU 11 News in Houston, Texas, specializing in uncovering taxpayer waste, government wrongdoing, and giving a voice to the voiceless.
During his 25 years in broadcast news, Jeremy has earned dozens of local and national journalism awards. These include the Edward R. Murrow, Lone Star Emmy, the Investigative Reporters and Editors Certificate, and three duPont-Columbia University awards, the broadcast equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize.
His most impactful investigations include “Transparency,” a 30-minute documentary that revealed how Houston’s $8 million police body camera program failed to deliver on its promises. From hundreds of missing videos to a deadly shooting not caught on tape, “Transparency” uncovered a lack of accountability at taxpayer expense.
In 2014, Rogalski exposed a ticket-rigging scandal at the Houston Police Department, in which several police officers listed each other on speeding tickets when they were never there. Three Houston police officers were subsequently indicted and pleaded guilty, and city prosecutors dismissed thousands of tickets after the investigation aired.
Other award-winning stories include "Drowning in Neglect," which uncovered health and safety problems at Houston swimming pools that were ignored by city inspectors. Additionally, "Soldiers at Risk" exposed how soldiers in Iraq were rationed to dangerously low amounts of fresh drinking water.
Jeremy is a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and a native Chicagoan, where he grew up in the left field bleachers of Wrigley Field. Go Cubs!
