TxDOT: All lanes of Gulf Freeway in Galveston open after crash clears

GALVESTON, Texas — All lanes of I-45 in Galveston were shut down for hours Sunday after a major crash resulted in downed power lanes, according to TxDOT.

The crash was reported just before 1 p.m. on the Gulf Freeway at Harborside Drive. Just before 5 p.m., the lanes were reopened.

Details surrounding the crash were not released.
