MAGNOLIA, Texas — A lithium battery from a remote-controlled car caused a fire that burned a garage in Montgomery County, according to investigators.

It happened Thursday a little after 7 p.m. at a home on Ezemily Drive in Magnolia. Crews found smoke coming from the attached garage and were able to put the fire out, keeping it contained to the garage.

During the investigation, fire crews determined the lithium battery was the cause. They also said it's the third garage fire linked to lithium batteries in the last two months in Magnolia.

There were no reports of injuries.
