HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman was killed and three children were injured in a crash late Thursday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened near the intersection of Swords Creek Road and TC Jester Boulevard, in the Greenspoint area.
The sheriff’s office stated it was after 9 p.m. when Eric Garcia was driving a Cadillac sedan southbound, colliding with a Chevrolet SUV driven by Angelina Billups.
A child was ejected from Billups’ vehicle, and a total of three children were taken to the hospital by Life Flight with CPR being performed. Billups died at the scene, however.
The driver of the Cadillac and his passenger were also both taken to the hospital with injuries.
Deputies said Billups was turning onto TC Jester at the time of the crash, but the cause of the incident remained under investigation.
An update to the children's conditions was not immediately provided as of late Friday afternoon.
Editor's note: an earlier version of this story indicated two children were involved in the wreck, but the sheriff's office later clarified three children were hurt.
