Box truck flips on side, catches fire on North Loop at Ella Boulevard

HOUSTON — A box truck caught fire after flipping on its side on the North Loop headed west near Ella Boulevard Wednesday morning.

Houston TranStar verified the crash at 10:02 a.m. The fire was quickly put out. All lanes were shut down while crews worked the scene.

At this time, it's unclear what led up to the crash or if there were any injuries.

Air 11 flew to the scene and it appeared the truck was lodged on the concrete divider in the right shoulder.

Firefighters quickly put out a box truck that was on fire on the North Freeway near Ella Boulevard headed west Wednesday morning.
