HOUSTON — The Katy Freeway has reopened near Brookshire after being shut down due to an overturned 18-wheeler engulfed in flames Thursday morning, according to Houston Transtar.
This happened at 5:30 a.m. near Woods Road. The 18-wheeler was carrying plastic pallets. The freeway reopened at 12:30 p.m. according to DPS.
No injuries were reported.
Fort Bend County's HazMat team responded to the scene to help with the cleanup. DPS is investigating the crash.
KHOU 11 traffic expert Jennifer Reyna said should use Highway 90 as an alternate route.
