Now that the signing period for outside free agents has officially kicked off, we have our three newest Houston Texans. The team has signed offensive linemen Zach Fulton and Seantrel Henderson and cornerback Aaron Colvin.
All three deals have been widely reported during the “legal tampering” period, which began Monday afternoon.
Henderson has signed a 1-year, $4 million deal. The former Buffalo Bills tackle will be given every chance to win one of the starting jobs in Houston. He was an above-average starting right tackle as a rookie before he was afflicted with Crohn’s disease.
Fulton is expected to take over at left guard, though the ex-Chiefs starter has experience playing center as well. Details of his deal are not yet known, but preliminary reports indicate it is a multi-year deal worth about $7.5 million per season on average.
Colvin comes from the Jaguars, where he was the slot corner in 2017. He did have experience as a starter on the outside earlier in his career. His deal is for four years and $34 million.
