HOUSTON – The Texas Southern men’s basketball team heads into Friday’s game against No. 1 Xavier as the lowest seeded team in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
But they’re not letting that stop them after they notched their first NCAA Tournament victory on Wednesday night in a First Four play-in game. They even got a pep talk from late-night show host and comedian Jimmy Fallon of the “The Tonight Show.”
Fallon says March Madness is all about rooting for the underdog and cinderellas, so each week he will pull for the lowest seeded team left in the tournament.
