Man's body found inside home that burned in Crosby

At this point, we don't know the cause of the fire or the victim's identity. No other injuries were reported.

CROSBY, Texas — One person is dead after a fire at a home in the Crosby area of east Harris County.

It happened on Krenek Street east of Bohemian Hall Road. A neighbor first reported the fire at just before 1 a.m.

According to the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, during firefighters' initial search of the home, a man's body was found.

CPR was performed, but he didn't survive.

At this point, the victim's identity hasn't been released. We also don't know the cause of the fire. No other injuries were reported.

Several fire agencies responded to help out the Crosby Fire Department. Those agencies included fire departments from Highlands, Baytown, Sheldon, and Mont Belvieu. The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office and Harris County Sheriff’s Office are also investigating.
