Crime Stoppers to host Sunday event in remembrance of murder victims

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Crime Stoppers of Houston on 3001 Main Street.

HOUSTON - They are names we have seen in the headlines, but their families will never forget. This Sunday, murder victims across Houston will be remembered at special service.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Crime Stoppers of Houston on 3001 Main Street.

"As someone who has worked with homicide victims for over 25 years, I can unequivocally tell you, grief is intensified when justice is lacking," said Andy Kahan, Director of Victims Services and Advocacy. "Sadly, for many families, justice is still lacking."

Families interested in attending are asked to bring a picture of their loved one. Sunday's service is open to the public and will pay tribute to murder victims and their surviving family members. The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is Sept. 25. For more information, click here.
