FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas -- Authorities are looking for three suspects after an Uber driver was shot during a carjacking in Fort Bend County late Monday.
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened just before 7 p.m. in the 7800 block of Soledad in the Mission Bend area.
Deputies say the 58-year-old driver was hired to pick up three clients. Instead, he was robbed, shot and left on the side of the road by the suspects who took off in his car, a black Dodge Dart. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to his back.
A neighbor's security camera captured part of the crime on video.

Neighbors flocked to the scene after hearing a loud commotion.
“Something like a big sound, and then I checked outside and they were coming out,” said one neighbor.
Investigators are now searching for the three suspects, who officials say took off in a black Dodge Dart with license plate GTL-4765. They’re also investigating whether this was a random act or planned.
