Eight-year-old publishes book on his love for basketball

Now the same book that started off as a few drawings on a tablet, can be found on Amazon.

HOUSTON — His love for basketball is only matched by his love for writing and now eight-year-old, Nolan Rencher Jr. can officially say he put his two passions together.

Rencher Jr. says he came up with the idea to write a book two years ago and enlisted his dad to help fine tune the illustrations.

"He's the true masterpiece. Nolan wrote the book, he drew the pictures and he said dad I want you to redraw the pictures," said Nolan Rencher Sr.

Now the same book that started off as no more than a few drawings on a tablet, can be found on Amazon.

"I wanted to make it seem like you could play hard on the court and you could be a beast on the court," said Rencher Jr.

Rencher Jr. says he's read the book in front of his class and received tremendous feedback. He plans to work on his second book in coming weeks, with hopes of continuing his writing for years to come.

Between Little Nolan and Big Nolan, the book is something they will always share. If for nothing else, a reminder that no matter how old you are, anything is possible.
