Branding Queens help young women turn their dreams into reality

Entrepreneurs with a mentor are five times more likely to launch a business. Branding Queens is providing that mentor-ship to young women in Houston.

HOUSTON - On Wednesday, September 19, Deborah Duncan sat down with Myi Baker, the President of Branding Queens. Branding Queens is an business mentoring program that helps over 20 local youth entrepreneurs each semester turn their dreams to reality. From business plan, to opening a business bank account, to the selling and branding of their business inspiring local youth to be apart of the emerging entrepreneur trend in the Houston business society. Myi Baker recognized the need for a place where young girls are encouraged to take charge, which prompted her to create Branding Queens. The organization is holding an "Interview Day" where young girls can interview with a female entrepreneur and relay their business idea. The event takes place September 29th at Novel Co-Working (Floor 7) from 9AM to 1PM. For more information, visit myindbuilders.com/brandingqueens
