Election Results - November 5, 2024

Voters head to the polls in the Nov. 5, 2024 elections to pick the next president of the United States. Former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris top the ballot. There are several key races that people in the Houston area and Texas will decide. A hotly contested U.S. Senate race features incumbent Republican Ted Cruz facing off against Democratic challenger Congressman Colin Allred. There's a race for the District 18 seat, which was formerly held by the late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee. That race features Democrat and former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner going up against Republican Lana Centonze. There's also a race to complete the rest of Rep. Jackson Lee's current term.
